Lanthanum, one of the rare earth metals, is somewhat
reactive
in
air. It forms a purplish oxide within a few days or weeks.
ACI Alloys
can supply pure lanthanum targets and evaporation
pieces packed in either a dessicant or in mineral oil. Many lanthanum
alloys are unreactive and, we provide them in protective packaging only
